Beaver Codes: From website builder apps to Climbing CRM

Introducing one of the Swedish companies in Scaleup Launchpad - Beaver Codes

Elementric Droppmattan

Tell us more about Beaver Codes: What is the core idea behind your company, and who are the people behind it?

Beaver Codes is a one-man band … with a whole orchestra of projects. There are a few key projects within a company, alongside many more already forgotten in the sands of time (shiny objects are real). Firstly, we’ve built apps for website builders - primarily Wix. To name a few we have a Reviews widget, QR code generator, Job board, and a few more. Fun fact: this is where most of the money comes in, funding the rest of the fun at Beaver HQ.

Then there’s a JnF Falafel restaurant, which runs on our custom software. We’ve even developed our own certified point-of-sale system (you know, the thing you beep your card on in shops). Who says you can’t mix hummus and high-tech?

And finally, we have Beaver Climbs, which literally takes the brand to new heights. After all, climbing is about as close as it gets to channeling the "beaver" in Beaver Codes. Looking ahead to 2025, I’m working on a CRM tailored for forestry companies—because even tree-climbing businesses need smart tools to grow.

The program aims to open new doors to the Finnish and Estonian markets. How familiar are you with these markets?

I am not familiar precisely with those markets. However, with the website apps, we have around 1500 paying customers across the globe. So, chances are we are already helping folks in Finland and Estonia. That said, many of the learnings from the program are very applicable for an Internet business like mine.

We are now halfway into the 10-month program – what do you hope to achieve during your time in the program?

The goal is and was for me to grow on the business side. I, and in extension, Beaver Codes is a very tech-focused company. Now it is time to learn more about advertising, SEO, copywriting, and potentially leadership. As you say we are already in the middle of it and I already implemented some insights from mentor meetings, as well as peer company experiences.

You have now had some chance to get to know the other companies in the program, what are your thoughts on them?

The other companies in the program are the biggest assets of Scaleup Launchpad. It is one thing to learn about theory on how to structure strategy etc.. but to hear from a fellow founder over a beer how they messed up similar situations in the past and what they would do differently is way more valuable.

People are very transparent, friendly, and engaged. To quote a classic: “I’m lovin’ it”.

What are you most looking forward to during your time in the program?

As I alluded in the previous question, spending time with the other participants is the highest on my list. So I can’t wait for the next meetup.

Another thing that will greatly help my company is the result of a marketing project we are working on with incredible mentors. Ironing out the tone of voice and preparing some email campaigns. All very exciting.
